At the start of the year we set the goal to educate and support those around us and within our community.
We have had a busy start to the year planning up and coming demonstrations. These demonstrations are aimed at our Equine Community.
We will be looking at how we can develop your knowledge and ability to look after your horses between appointments. Participants will be getting hands on, learning palpation techniques and exercises to take home to maintain suppleness and strength.
We partnered up with The BHS (British Horse Society) to deliver our first demo as part of their "Stable Mates" day which was held on the 4th of May, the sun shone and we met some wonderful horses and owners. We were thoroughly spoilt with a delicious afternoon tea, flowers and endless supplies of coffee!!
Our first open demonstration is being held on the 16th of May at Brackenhurst University, Southwell.
A further second date will be added due to the interest shown and tickets already being sold out- so please keep an eye out for a second date.
We will be welcoming one of our sponsored riders, Sam Gorman, and the wonderful Porridge to our event in May, where you can see how physiotherapy has supported both of them throughout their successful career.
In August we head off to support the Rufford Pony Club camp where we will work with the senior riders to develop their knowledge and awareness of gait analysis, what to look for if a horse presents unsound and techniques to support their suppleness and strength at home- as well as hopefully inspiring the next generation!!
If you think we could offer any input to your upcoming events we love to collaborate so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
